One of “Radio’s Most Influential Women” Named Director of Radiothon Sales for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, a charity that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals, today announced Cindy Weiner as its director of Radiothon sales.
Weiner joins Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals from Anaheim Publishing in Kansas City, where she most recently served as the advertising director. Weiner has received much recognition from the radio industry, including being named by Radio Ink Magazine as one of Radio’s Most Influential Women five years in a row (2002 to 2006); General Manager of the Year by Clear Channel in 2002; and Market Manager of the Year by The Radio Advertising Bureau in 2003.
“Cindy brings a great amount of experience and expertise to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals,” said Steve Oshin, senior vice president, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “Her love for radio, coupled with her passion for giving back, will help our partner radio stations contribute even more funds, which ultimately will save more lives.”
Weiner is active in the nonprofit sector as a board member for the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Kansas City, and chaired the marketing committee for The Women’s Employment Network. Weiner also has her own career coaching and consulting business, which she founded in 2009.
Since 1997, Children's Miracle Network Radiothons have raised more than $280 million in support of 170 children’s hospitals in Canada and the U.S. Hispanic Radiothons have been a part of that effort since 2007.
