Children's Miracle Network Hospitals Named Official Charity of Daytime Gives Back
Segment Featuring Children’s Hospitals to Air on CBS During Daytime Emmy Awards Television Broadcast
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals has been named the official charity of Daytime Gives Back, an independent philanthropic initiative of the daytime television community. Daytime Gives Back is showcased each year as a highlight segment during the Daytime Emmy Awards television broadcast.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which was founded by Marie Osmond and John Schneider, has raised more than $4.2 billion for children’s hospitals in North America since 1983. True stories from different Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will be featured in the Daytime Gives Back segment during the 38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, which will be broadcast live on CBS from Las Vegas on June 19, 2011.
"The difficult reality is that 17 million children receive treatment at a Children’s Miracle Network Hospital each year,” said Osmond. “These hospitals depend on support from their communities to help children who are facing life’s toughest battles. It is a privilege to be recognized as the official charity of Daytime Gives Back, and I am confident that this relationship will directly impact the lives of families across North America who are hoping for a miracle.”
