Co-Branded Boxes Will Be Sold Exclusively In Food Lion, Bloom and Bottom Dollar Food Stores
Beginning June 1, Food Lion, Bloom and Bottom Dollar Food stores will exclusively carry specially designed Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals® Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes® and Pop-Tarts® boxes. Kellogg will donate $1 (up to $75,000) to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for every four boxes sold.
The specially designed packages highlight three Children’s Miracle Network Hospital patients:
• 14-year-old Kennedy from Jasper, Tenn., who battled bone cancer and was treated at T.C. Thompson Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga, Tenn.
• 11-year-old Matthew from North Charleston, S.C., who battled a heart defect and was treated at MUSC Children’s Hospital in Charleston, S.C.
• 10-year-old Haley from Jacksonville, Fla., who battled bone cancer and was treated at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla.
“The stories of Kennedy, Matthew and Haley are certain to touch the hearts of everyone who reads them. They are just three of the 17 million children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals each year, inspiring us to constantly do more,” said John Lauck, president and CEO, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “We are excited about Food Lion and Kellogg Company working together to help share our message and raise funds that will benefit millions of children, just like those featured on the Frosted Flakes and Pop Tarts boxes.”
Food Lion is also supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in other ways. From June 1-21, Food Lion customers can purchase paper Miracle Balloons at the register, with proceeds benefiting the Children’s Miracle Network Hospital in their community. Food Lion LLC has been a national corporate sponsor of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals since 1991 and has raised more than $36 million for children’s hospitals.
