Piano Prodigy Ethan Bortnick Donating Performances for Children's Charity at MiracleConcert.com
10-year-old has raised $30 million for various charities
Some kids love toy cars, playing make-believe or watching cartoons. Ten-year-old Ethan Bortnick’s passions are performing music and helping fellow kids. Bringing his two loves together, Ethan has partnered with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, launching MiracleConcert.com to raise funds for children’s hospitals in North America.
Lauded as one of America’s “Most Talented Kids” by Oprah Winfrey and recently confirmed to be the youngest person in history to headline a Las Vegas show, Bortnick can now be booked through MiracleConcert.com for events ranging from small, intimate performances to larger concerts for thousands of people in exchange for a donation to the area’s local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital.
The Bortnick family knows first-hand how children’s hospitals make miracles happen; Ethan’s younger brother Nathan had heart surgery at Miami Children’s Hospital as a newborn and is now a healthy toddler. Since then, Ethan and his family have worked tirelessly to raise money for children’s hospitals. It is estimated that Ethan’s philanthropic efforts have helped raise $30 million for various charities, including Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“Ethan’s imagination and ability to create music from stories is unbelievable,” says American record producer and musician Quincy Jones. “With such special talent and expressive piano playing, he’s sure to go all the way.”
MiracleConcert.com features information on how to book a concert and additional background on Ethan, including video clips of his piano performances.
Ethan will begin filming his first feature film this month. The film, "Anything is Possible,” will be released nationwide in Spring 2012. Ethan is starring in the film and, as the youngest actor/songwriter to compose music for a feature film, has written its music. "It's a Miracle,” a song he wrote for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, is included in the soundtrack. A portion of net profits from “Anything is Possible” will be donated to charities including Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.
