Third Annual “Miracle Jeans Day” Scheduled for Sept. 14
Wear Jeans to Work to Raise Funds for Children’s Hospitals
Mark your calendars! Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 is “Miracle Jeans Day,” an annual fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals®, a charity that raises funds for 170 children’s hospitals.
Individuals, companies, organizations and groups can participate in Miracle Jeans Day for a minimum of a $5 donation, earning the right to wear jeans in lieu of traditional work uniforms.
Credit Unions, RE/MAX, Delta Air Lines and Marriott have already committed to participate in “Miracle Jeans Day,” which raised more than $500,000 for children’s hospitals in 2010. More than 150,000 employees at more than 700 company locations and organizations across North America participated in the one-day event in 2010 to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
“Miracle Jeans Day gives companies, organizations and individuals an opportunity to come together in a casual way to support children’s hospitals just by wearing jeans to work,” said Staci Cross, regional director, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. “It’s a fun and creative way to involve employees at all levels while raising funds for their local children’s hospital.”
