Amor-FM (93.1) raised $187,000 for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in the New York area during its first-ever Hispanic Radiothon in the area, October 16 – 18.

The Radiothon featured interviews with patient families at four Children’s Hospitals including Monserrat Garcia, the mother of four-year-old Naomi who was treated for leukemia at Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital.

Schneider Children's Hospital, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital, The Children's Hospital at Montefiore and Children's Specialized Hospital will all benefit from the event. All funds raised will provide research, education, equipment and uncompensated care for children treated at these hospitals.

Their efforts are allowing the Hispanic community to become involved in giving to a charity that will personally affect so many. The Radiothon program has been an integral part of Children’s Miracle Network’s fundraising efforts since 1997.The more than 300 stations who participate in Children's Miracle Network Radiothons have raised more than $280 million in support of 170 children’s hospitals in their respective communities.
