Bruegger’s is a privately held company which operates and franchises the second-largest chain of bagel outlets in the U.S. with over 300 locations in 25 states. Bruegger’s is planning to open 70 new Bruegger’s locations in 2011. They have 2400 employees and are headquartered in Burlington, VT. Bruegger’s first fundraising programs were conducted in 2010 and provided fundraising for 48 CMNH markets. They conduct two separate fundraising campaigns each year with one stretching over a 90 day effort involving a percent of sales from their annual Bottomless Mug campaign. The second program involves a “Free Coffee” day where donations are requested for the free coffee offer. Numerous CMNH hospital markets have developed strong relationships with their local bakeries and have conducted a number of additional fundraising programs customized to their market.
