St. Ambrose University DM: Honoring Morale Director, Kayla Decker with the Decker Dash
On October 14th, 2018, St. Ambrose University Dance Marathon will host the “Decker Dash” 5k run and walk. This event holds special significance for the St. Ambrose University students and their community, because it is in honor of, Kayla Decker, who passed away unexpectedly in December of last year.
Kayla participated in Dance Marathon all four years of college and was serving as the programs Morale Director when she passed. Her fellow classmates and friends shared that Kayla had a passion For The Kids that was unmatched. She loved helping others and had a huge heart for Dance Marathon. In honor of her memory, they created the Decker Dash 5k Family Fun Run as a day to remember Kayla and her impact on the organization and everyone she met.
