November’s 2018-2019 Miracle Million Club Inductees

The Miracle Million Club is a special group of corporate and media partners, Dance Marathon schools, and Extra Life supporters who individually raise more than $1 million for local children’s hospitals on an annual basis. Join us in celebrating the newest 2018-2019 Miracle Million Club members!


ROOSTER TEETHOver the last five years, Rooster Teeth has raised $5million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. This year, the Rooster Teeth community set out to raise $1.25 million and shattered their goal raising nearly $1.5 million in a 24-hour period.

During Rooster Teeth’s 24-hour live stream, viewers watched their favorite online influencers play video games, host Harry Potter trivia and be dropped into a dunk tank for donations!

 

TWITCHTwitch, a live streaming platform owned by Amazon, has rallied its community of content creators to sign up for Extra Life to play games, heal kids at local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals throughout North America.

By providing a platform where gamers can rally in support of causes they care about, Twitch has helped Extra Life raise over $50 million since their inception in 2011!

 

AIR CANADA FOUNDATION: Once again, we are excited to welcome Air Canada Foundation into the Miracle Million Club. Currently celebrating their 25th partnership anniversary with Children Miracle Network, Air Canada Foundation raises fund through a combination of grants, flights and promotional tickets. In the past year, over 100 Canadian children benefited from the Air Canada Foundation’s Hospital Transportation Program. The program provides Aeroplan miles to pediatric hospitals across Canada, giving children and their parents access to advanced medical treatments in health-care centres unavailable in their community. The 2018 grant was also the largest given to CMN in the history of our partnership with Air Canada Foundation!

 

THE BRICK: The Brick has renewed their membership in the Miracle Million Club for the third year in a row! A proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network since 2014, The Brick raises funds through a corporate match, a year-round at cash fundraising initiative and the sale of Brickley, their charity bear. This was the first year that The Brick’s in-store customer donations has raised over $1,000,000. This is a testament to The Brick, their in-store team and their customer’s commitment to help to improve the lives of children, Brick by Brick. The Brick is very excited to continue to grow their partnership in 2019 as they celebrate their 5-year partnership anniversary with Children’s Miracle Network.

GIANT MARTIN’SGIANT/MARTIN’S “Living Here, Giving Here” philosophy continues to help children’s hospitals create miracle for sick and injured children. With un unwavering commitment to serve their communities and with the generosity of their customers, they have raised more than $1.4 million through their in-store fundraising this year. Giant has been a proud partner of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for 22 years and has raised more than $42 million to buy special equipment, build new treatment facilities, ease anxiety and pain and conduct ground-breaking research. #GiantMiracles

INDIANA UNIVERSITY DANCE MARATHON: In their 28th year of Dance Marathon, Indiana University Dance Marathon raised an astounding $4,187,051.23. Over 2,500 participants, alumni and families attended their 36 hour event. They are the largest and oldest Dance Marathon in the network.

 

 

 

PURDUE UNIVERSITY DANCE MARATHON: PUDM hosted their annual event with the theme of “Explore What’s Possible.” Their event focused on exploring what is possible for the kids at Riley Hospital for Children if they were to raise one more dollar or make one more fundraising ask. Their great focus led to a fundraising total of 1,207,476.23. In addition, the entire campus rallied around fellow student and PUDM member Tyler Trent as he battles osteosarcoma. Trent entered into the national eye when College Game Day did a piece on his story where he accurately predicted that Purdue would beat #2 Ohio State in football. Tyler was the top fundraiser for PUDM and raised over $100,000 for the same hospital where he is treated.

 

WTMX – CHICAGO:  The 2018 “Mix Kids Radiothon” event for Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital was another huge success. The Mix 101.9 and Lurie Children’s announced a grand fundraising total of $1,042,678, an increase of over $41,000 from 2017. This was also the first year of a new format for Mix Kids. WTMX has helped raise over $28,000,000 for Lurie Children’s in the nearly 20-year partnership with The Mix! Radio Hall of Famer Eric Ferguson has hosted the event the entire run.
