Country star Hunter Hayes helps produce Christian Guardino’s first song

When country star Hunter Hayes heard Christian Guardino sing for the first time, he was blown away not only by his voice but by his story.

Christian was born with a rare eye disease with no cure and would eventually lose all sight, but thanks to an experimental gene therapy at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, he can see. He has 80% improvement of vision and even testified before the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to approve the gene therapy to help other kids like him.

With a passion for music that is contagious, Christian is a thriving teenager and an aspiring recording artist. He earned the Golden Buzzer on season 12 of America’s Got Talent and made it to the semifinals with his soulful, smooth voice. In 2018 Christian performed at Children’s Hospitals Week, an event raising awareness for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, without knowing Hunter Hayes was listening backstage.

Amazed by Christian’s talent and spark for life, Hunter invited him for a day in the recording studio – an absolute dream come true!

During their time in the studio together in Nashville, Hunter helped Christian produce his first ever song, “Waiting,” and a strong friendship formed.

While on the road for his very successful Closer to You Tour, Hunter Hayes invited Christian to perform “Waiting” on stage with him during his concert in Washington, DC. His fans went wild for Christian’s story and his show-stopping voice.

The sky is the limit for both of these artists who have hearts for giving back and voices that wow audiences all over the world.

You can listen to Christian’s song “Waiting” on Spotify or iTunes.
