Love’s celebrates 20th year of fundraising for CMN Hospitals

Love’s Travel Stops and Country Stores hopes to raise more than $3.6 million for the 107 Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals it supports during its 20th annual fundraising campaign—running August 26 to September 30. In addition to selling Miracle Balloons for $1, $5 or $20, customers can also round-up their change to the nearest dollar and participate in local events like bake sales, cookouts, golf tournaments, 5K runs and more.

On Sept. 29 and 30, Love’s will show additional support for CMN Hospitals during their National Coffee Day promotion. Customers can purchase a large (24 oz.) coffee or hot beverage for the reduced price of $1 with all proceeds going to the local CMN Hospital.

“Now more than ever, in our twentieth year of this campaign, we are excited and committed to raise money for children in the communities that we live and work in at Love’s,” said Jenny Love Meyer, vice president of communications for Love’s. “Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals does such impactful, life-saving work and we couldn’t be more honored to help this great organization.”

Funds raised will help sick and injured kids like Chloe, who served as the face of the annual campaign in 2018. Chloe was diagnosed with leukemia at age 5. After more than two years of painful treatments, Chloe is now cancer-free. She visits the hospital for lab work every three months to ensure the cancer doesn’t return.

Donations provided Chloe with a port for receiving oncology treatments and a vein finder machine that helped locate her veins when she received her initial diagnosis.

Jason, Chloe’s dad, is a professional truck driver who covers routes from the west to east coast. He utilizes the services offered at Love’s year-round, in part because of the help they gave his daughter and millions of other kids who are cared for by CMN Hospitals.

Since beginning its partnership in 1999, Love’s has raised more than $28 million for CMN Hospitals.
