Industry Thought Leader Highlight: March 2020

Throughout the year, a series of Industry Thought Leader Highlights will recognize members of the team who are elevating CMN Hospitals as a leading organization within the industry.

Congratulations to Elyse Meardon, Vice President of Revenue, for presenting on a Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum webinar and Kellie Tiner, Director of Partnerships, for earning the recertification of her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) credentials.

This month the Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum hosted a webinar “Managing COVID-19’s Impact On Your Peer-to-Peer Programs,” featuring a panel of speakers from organizations who took a proactive approach to managing the impact of the pandemic. Elyse represented CMN Hospitals’ Miracle Network Dance Marathon program on the panel, providing tangible communication and virtual planning tools to the nonprofit industry. Her thoughtful and authentic advice on empathizing with constituents and supporting events resonated with philanthropic organizations nationwide.

CFRE International focuses on “setting standards in philanthropy through a valid and reliable certification process.” Kellie’s recertification strengthens her skillset through a collaborative network of professionals and innovative resources. Kellie empowers CMN Hospitals’ partners to raise more for local hospitals through her expertise and represents our organization throughout the fundraising industry.

Many CMN Hospitals partners have served as leaders in their respective industries during this challenging time, combating the impact of COVID-19. Arne Sorenson, President and CEO of Marriott International, released a moving video speaking to the need for compassion and resilience through Marriott’s contingency plans. Ed Bastian, CEO of Delta Air Lines, provides frequent communication to customers with a commitment to safety and flexibility. These CEO’s, along with others, are taking pay cuts, to ensure their employees are financially supported while taking preventative measures to maintain a healthy work environment. Walmart associates are working tirelessly to keep shelves stocked and prices fair. This company is taking extensive measures to ensure associates are cared for, and customers are informed. These are a few examples of the positive impact our partners are making during unsettling and unprecedented times.

We continue to celebrate the impact that Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and our partners make throughout the industry. Together, we continue to change kids’ health and change the future.
