APRIL & MAY’S 2019-2020 MIRACLE MILLION CLUB INDUCTEES

The Miracle Million Club is a special group of corporate and media partners, Dance Marathon schools, and Extra Life supporters who individually raise more than $1 million for local children’s hospitals on an annual basis. Join us in celebrating the newest 2019-2020 Miracle Million Club members!

Walmart Canada:

In Walmart Canada’s 25th year of partnership with Children’s Miracle Network they once again join the Miracle Million Club, raising over $1 million in the first quarter of 2019. Last fiscal, Walmart Canada raised over $14.8 million for 14 children’s hospitals across Canada, the largest amount ever raised by a corporate partner in Canada. Thank you, Walmart Canada, for helping families live better by making a direct impact on Canadian communities and pediatric healthcare.

Rite Aid:

Thanks to the help of generous customers, caring associates and dedicated supplier partners, Rite Aid once again joins the Miracle Million Club. This year we celebrate all that Rite Aid has accomplished during their 25 years of partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The annual in-store balloon campaign wrapped up on May 11, a record-breaking corporate golf outing was held on May 20 and that’s just the start. More wonderful opportunities are still to come in the second half of the year.

RE/MAX, LLC:

Congratulations to RE/MAX, LLC and the many associates in U.S. and Canada who help millions of kids each year!

Panda Express:

Panda Cares is passionate about supporting organizations that provide charitable care, life-saving equipment, education for healthy living, and research for advanced health treatments for children. Through their partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, Panda has helped more than 10 million children find courage, strength and passion to thrive by donating over $59.3 Million since 2007.

Panda Cares believes all youth deserve an opportunity to succeed. Panda Express helps fund programs that focus on character building, academic success, college access and success for students across the nation. Through their grants, they have committed more than $51.4 Million since 2008, impacting over 976,000 students.

Panda Cares’ vision is to empower youth to learn, lead and thrive for better lives. The mission of Panda Cares is to bring hope to youth in need. Our purpose is to serve the Health and Education needs of underserved youth and to foster the spirit of giving.

At Panda, they believe in giving back and sharing our blessings. Panda Cares raises funds throughout the year with the help of Associates, Guests and Business Partners. Panda Cares has raised over $140 Million since 1999.

The overall program strategy for Panda Express is simple, ask every customer every time for their change and to round up to the next dollar. That change adds up and at Panda Express it adds up to millions of dollars every year for CMN Hospitals. For example, if a customer purchases a meal at Panda Express and the total comes out to $9.27, an ask would be made to that customer if they would like to round up for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. The customer would then agree/disagree for their change this time totaling $0.73 to be donated.

Marriott International:

Congratulations to the Marriott International family! $1 million raised and counting!

Speedway:

Thanks to Speedway customers and team members, they have once again joined the Miracle Million Club! Speedway continues to fuel miracles with their fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. We are grateful for their year-round efforts. Upcoming events include the annual Golf Outing, which will be held June 10 – 11, in Dayton, Ohio, as well as their next company-wide campaign July 26 – 28.

Costco Canada:

Costco Canada has been raising funds for 14 children’s hospitals across Canada since 1992. In 2018, Costco Canada surpassed the $100 million milestone, a rare achievement in fundraising for sick and injured Canadian kids. This year, Costco Canada once again joined the Miracle Million Club through their Spring Icon Campaign. By helping to support a sick kid, Costco Canada’s employees and members are changing the health of children across Canada.

Costco:

Costco just wrapped up their annual campaign on May 31st, 2019. While they are still finalizing their total dollars raised, they amazingly surpassed $1M on the first day! They continue to be the gold-standard for all partners on how to raise incredible amounts of money through a simple ask.

IHOP:

IHOP completed its 13th annual Free Pancake Day on March 12, 2019. On this day IHOP guests enjoyed a free short stack of their world famous buttermilk pancakes in exchange for a donation to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. New this year was a menu item created by one of our very own miracle children, Brody Simoncini from Boston Children’s. Brody created an Oreo Oh My Goodness Pancake and it was delicious. IHOP generously donated $1 for every one of Brody’s pancakes sold. While IHOP is still tabulating their totals from both events, we know they will have another great year in fundraising.

McLane:

McLane Company held their 31st annual golf tournament in Dallas, Texas on April 29, 2019. Vendors and suppliers from across the country came out to support McLane and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, raising $1 million on behalf of CMN Hospitals. McLane is excited to continue to grow the event as they plan to move to a bigger course to allow for more golfers and donors.

Pictured with Keith Ross, Vice President of Merchandising at McLane, is Riley Piekot. Riley is one of the many children that receive treatment at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center. Riley is a happy nine-year-old that loves Taylor Swift. Her diagnosis of muscular dystrophy doesn’t stop her from having fun and supporting events that help other kids at her hospital.

McLane teammates, vendors, convenience store partners and each of McLane’s 23 distribution centers support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals through grassroots fundraising, workplace giving campaigns, annual golf tournaments and special gifts.
