Brayden Recently Rung the End-of-Treatment Bell, Thanks to Aflac Cancer Center

After nine months of intensive treatment, Brayden recently rang the end-of-treatment bell in Aflac Cancer Center, at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.

Brayden was on a Disney Cruise with his family, when after riding waterslides all morning, he became unusually tired. After an alarmingly long nap, Brayden’s parents took him to the infirmary. Within an hour, the Coast Guard was its way to medevac Brayden and his family.

That night, they boarded an Angel Flight to the Aflac Cancer Center, where Brayden was diagnosed with desmoplastic small round cell tumor (DSRCT), a rare soft-tissue sarcoma.

This month, Aflac is joining Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals to make a meaningful difference in the lives of kids with cancer.  Proceeds from limited-edition products available on AflacChildhoodCancer.org will benefit 28 local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Donations will be used to fund cancer-related programming for local kids.
