CMN Hospitals Innovation Team Ramping Up for Quick Tests

We recently introduced you to the Innovation Team. The Innovation Team is charged with review, design, and execution of tests on any new ideas that have passed screening. Innovation currently has two new ideas undergoing a full-scale test: My Miracle Birthday and Superhero U.

This year alone we’ve had over 900 ideas submitted! It takes a lot of work from different parts of CMN Hospitals to whittle down all those ideas to a viable few that the Innovation team can take a closer look at. We’re ready to take a few of those ideas out into the real world and run a quick test – this is a short test we perform before deciding if a full-scale test is warranted. What we’re trying to determine with a quick test is if an idea can be successful on a small scale, could it then translate to a full-scale test, and eventually become a national program.

We will be testing out a few different ideas over the next couple months. While doing this, we are mindful of the challenges our local hospitals face, especially after natural disasters such as Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. We never want to disrupt local fundraising, but know that cancer and childhood illness and injuries never take a break, so we won’t either. On the Innovation Team, we are trying to find the next great fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, so whenever our local kids need help, our hospitals are there to meet those needs.

If you are a local or national business that is passionate about doing things #ForTheKids and are interested in helping our Innovation Team with quick tests, please feel free to reach out to Tanya at tkeyser@cmnhospitals.org for more information.
