Five Miracles Moments of 2014

The confetti from celebrating 30 years of making miracles barely had time to settle before we hit the ground running, in January. Twelve months of hard work by our Network constituents has culminated into another incredible reflection of a year's worth activities that further our mission to raise $1 billion annually, by 2022.

Here's a glance at some of our favorite moments of 2014:

A New Milestone.
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals reached a new milestone in March, when the organization announced more than $5 billion had been raised for children's hospitals since its inception in 1983.

May is for Miracles.
Every May, more than a dozen North American outlets and proud partners of our mission, thousands of retailer employees, and millions of supporters come together for a month of fundraising. This year's campaign was exceptional, as everyone participating came armed with the passion to help as many children as possible.

Newsworthy.
Fifty five of our Network's member hospitals are featured in the U.S. News Honor Roll of Best Children's Hospitals 2014-15, released in June. The magazine ranked 89 hospitals total and recognized 10 that had high scores in at least three specialties, all of which are members of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals.

Fit for a Champion.
Every year, we identify a child with a remarkable medical story from each state and in Canada to represent the 62 children that enter a Children's Miracle Network Hospital for treatment every minute. Our 2014 “Champions” traveled everywhere from Washington, D.C. and Toronto to Orlando, Fla. on an official Ambassador Tour to highlight the vital work of children’s hospitals. The Champions program is sponsored by Delta, Marriott International and Chico's FAS, Inc. in the U.S. and Walmart Canada and Air Canada Foundation in Canada.

Solving the Puzzle.
America’s Game® Wheel of Fortune made sure that at-home viewers of its popular “Secret Santa Sweepstakes” weren't the only winners. For two weeks in December, in-studio players earned donations for "Wheel Watchers Club" members. The Children’s Miracle Network Hospital of the club member’s choice received cash donation matching their winnings with a minimum of $300,000 being donated during the course of the sweepstakes.
