September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month! One in 285 children in the U.S. will be diagnosed with cancer by the time they are 20 years old yet only 4% of the $5.36 Billion dollars funded for the NCI goes to pediatric cancer research. Pediatric cancer is made up not of one disease but of 12 major types with over 100 subtypes of cancers.

On Thursday, September 28th JMAC, from JMAC and McCoy Mornings on Hot 100 is going to dribble a soccer ball from 1st View in Ocean View Norfolk all the way to 1st Street in Virginia Beach – 23 miles – to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer research at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters!
