Throughout the year, you can look forward to seeing Industry Thought Leader Highlights, blog posts focused on celebrating members of the organization who are elevating CMN Hospitals as a leading organization within the industry by speaking at conferences and webinars.
Congratulations to the following leaders within Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for presenting on behalf of the organization at respective conferences and events throughout the month of February:

- Mike Kinney, Managing Director of Digital Fundraising & Extra Life
- Jessica McKnett, Vice President of Revenue Operations
- Elyse Meardon, Vice President of Revenue
At the Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was recognized as the Peer-to-Peer Fundraising Organization of the Year, being highlighted as one of the “most analytical, creative and collaborative teams in our industry.” Mike and Elyse both took the stage, highlighting success strategies and increasing awareness of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals within the nonprofit industry. Elyse also led a workshop session on developing and managing skilled teams, where she focused on providing tools and insights to sharpen leadership and management skills, resulting in greater team success. Mike presented at two additional Peer-to-Peer Professional Forum sessions, providing an overview of industry dynamics with an emphasis on gaming and fundraising strategies within the charity streaming space. Lou spoke on behalf of Extra Life’s success, providing insight on sustainable fundraising through streaming initiatives and how we view our participants, fundraisers, and donors as a community of stakeholders in our program.
Nick made a presence at the Credit Union National Association’s Governmental Affairs Conference, which is the largest credit union conference in the industry each year with over 5,000 attendees. Young professionals from across the United States are invited to network and learn more about the industry. Nick presented on how to get involved with the CU4Kids program and the importance of corporate social responsibility.
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals was the Celebrated Charity of the 2020 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend. At the beginning of each race, including the Disney Princess 5K, Disney Princess Enchanted 10K, and Disney Princess Half Marathon, as well as the three-day expo, Jessica presented to thousands of runners, raising awareness about the impact of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
In addition to the presentations at these industry conferences and events, members of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals attended Social Capital, RE/MAX R4 and the LEGO Serious Play Facilitator Training to become certified trainers on this hands-on learning methodology.
In May, Julie Breckenkamp, Managing Director of Corporate Partnerships, will be co-presenting with Maureen Carlson, Chief Strategist at On Purpose, at Engage for Good 2020.
