Jeremy’s Wheelchair Doesn’t Confine Him; it Gives Him Freedom

When Jeremy Miller received his first wheelchair at age 3, his world opened to new opportunities…including Halloween costumes.

Every year, Jeremy, who has spina bifida, and his wheelchair are transformed into his favorite characters and their vehicles, with help from his handy dad.

He shared this year’s costume, a Ghostbusters’ Ecto-1, with fellow patients treated at Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego.

“Jeremy’s wheelchair gives him opportunities that he normally wouldn’t have. It doesn’t confine him; it gives him freedom.” —Jeremy’s mom
