Miss America Organization Hosts First Mini Dance Marathon!

On July 28th, 2017 in Orlando, FL the Miss America Organization, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen Organization and CMN Hospitals came together at the annual Miss America orientation to host MAO’s first ever mini three hour Dance Marathon! The goal of the event was to integrate the Dance Marathon program with Miss America contestants, educate them on Dance Marathon and key CMN Hospitals talking points, exhibit cause connection through miracle stories, and raise awareness through social media interaction and fundraising. The event garnered $42,000 in fundraising and resulted in almost 100% participation on social media platforms for all of the contestants and the reigning national titleholder’s accounts as well. The contestants and their supporters got to participate in games, moral dances, hearing miracle stories and much fun was had by all! Since the event, all of the organization leadership from MAO has reached out to express how much they loved the event and that they can’t wait to make it even bigger next year. Many contestants have also called it a highlight of their year! A huge thanks goes out to Brian Golden for helping to execute and the Knight-a-thon team for coming out and volunteering! Bringing the Dance Marathon and MAO programs together has promising potential for the future and we can’t wait to see how the event grows!
