YEAR IN REVIEW: ARKANSAS CHILDREN’S

Congratulations Arkansas Children’s, on your incredible achievements in 2017! We would like to highlight the impact that you’ve made in the Little Rock community and the surrounding areas.

In 2017, the Dance Marathon programs that support Arkansas Children’s grew to include four Universities. Their Dance Marathon family welcomed Arkansas State University who had their inaugural event on December 1, 2017, as well as, the University of Louisiana at Monroe who will be having their first event in April 2018. To encourage growth and best practice sharing amongst their Dance Marathon’s, Arkansas Children’s also hosted their first market retreat welcoming all programs to collaborate and tour the Hospital. The students walked away with excitement and renewed passion for helping the kids in their community.

2017 continued to prove to be a great year as the phones rang off the hook on December 15th, 2017 as Arkansas Children’s kicked off the Festival of Stars toy drive and Radiothon. At the culmination of their Radiothon event, they had raised $322,806.24 for the kids.

Additionally, congratulations are in order for Arkansas Children’s after receiving recognition at the Momentum conference for highest percentage increase in 2016 for large markets (101%), as well as, highest per capita increase in 2016 for large markets ($2.71). But, the awards don’t stop there- the Hospital also achieved Magnet ® recognition from the American Nurses Credentialing Center. This accreditation landed Arkansas Children’s a spot among the esteemed six percent of hospitals worldwide to earn Magnet Status. A true testament to the dedication the Hospital has to creating the best environment and treatment for the kids they serve.

While 2017 will be hard to compete with, the grand opening of the new Arkansas Children’s Northwest Hospital that took place this past weekend, is sure to make 2018 another year to remember!

Thank you to all of the programs, events, partners and team members at Arkansas Children’s for the miracles you have made in 2017! We look forward to being a part of your journey in the upcoming year!
