University of Iowa Children’s Hospital is the state’s longest-serving children’s hospital with 190 beds and only academic medical center. More than 140,000 children receive care at UI Children’s Hospital each year. Parent magazine ranks UI Children’s Hospital among the top 20 children’s hospitals in the nation. UI Children’s Hospital serves the needs of children through its many outpatient clinics, surgical treatment and diagnostic centers, and inpatient beds.
