Children’s Miracle Network’s 2010 Telethon will Air June 4-6 in Select Cities Across North America
Co-Founders Marie Osmond and John Schneider will be Joined by Dr. Oz, Dr. Phil and Other Celebrities to Host “A Celebration of Real Miracles"
This upcoming Friday through Sunday, June 4 – 6, Children’s Miracle Network’s 27th annual Telethon will be broadcast in 74 markets across North America to raise funds for children’s hospitals.
Children’s Miracle Network Co-Founders Marie Osmond and John Schneider will host the telethon. Other celebrities, including Dr. Oz, LeAnn Rimes, Mary Hart, Dr. Phil McGraw and Debora Norville, will join Osmond and Schneider during the broadcast to introduce stories of medical triumph from around the North America. Additionally, each telethon will feature unique, local programming that tells the stories of children who have been treated at the market’s Children’s Miracle Network hospital.
“Children’s Miracle Network has grown dramatically since its founding in 1983 from a televised fundraiser in a small studio to become one of the world’s leading children’s charities helping millions of kids each year,” said Craig Sorensen, chief marketing officer, Children’s Miracle Network. “The Telethon gives us a chance to tell stories about the miracles taking place in our hospitals every day thanks to the individual and corporate donations that are generously given during the annual Telethon broadcast.”
Like all Children’s Miracle Network fundraisers, funds raised stay local, meaning all the funds donated to a particular Telethon will be given to the benefiting Children’s Miracle Network hospital. Learn more about Children’s Miracle Network at www.ChildrensMiracleNetwork.org.
