Microsoft began its partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2008.  In the fall of that year, Microsoft created the Children’s Miracle Network Family Game pack for Xbox 360, which was sold at participating retailers across the country. Microsoft donated 100% of its proceeds from the sale of the game pack, raising more than $1.2 million for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

In addition to the Family Game Pack fundraising program, Microsoft has donated custom Xbox 360 kiosks to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, giving patients an opportunity to play games and be kids while being treated. In summer 2009, Microsoft and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partnered together on the “Gameroom Giveaway presented by Xbox 360” online contest. The contest generated almost 13,000,000 votes and awarded three Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals brand new gamerooms, valued at $10,000 each.
