Celebrating 20 years of saving and improving kids lives, here’s why Re/Max agents say they give.
Children's Miracle Network is grateful to our many corporate partners. Celebrating a 20 year partnership with RE/MAX we are inspired, encouraged and touched to hear personal and professional stories about why many RE/MAX agents choose to partner with us. Here is a snapshot of why agents give back to their local community through Children's Miracle Network.
Our clients recognize our contribution, on their behalf, to
Children’s Miracle Network and are appreciative of it. Virtually every
client we deal with has had some experience with our local children’s hospital
(CHEO), be it themselves as children, their children or grandchildren.
Our very own children and grandchildren have been patients at CHEO and have
received world-class treatment.
The Anne and Dwight Team, RE/MAX Metro-city realty ltd Ottawa, ON
Throughout my 34 year career in Real Estate, I have
always been involved in volunteerism and fundraising. So, when I joined
RE/MAX six years ago, it seemed natural to me to become involved with
Children's Miracle Network. I was fortunate to have two healthy kids-not
kids anymore and it was unimaginable to me what some of these families endure
with their sick children. Some have had to sell their homes to cover
medical expenses and travel and stay in strange cities so that they can be
near a hospital that will give them the appropriate care. These families inspire me to give.
Cliff Iverson of RE/MAX Crowne Real Estate, Regina, SK
About 16 yrs ago my nephew was born with a very clubbed foot
and was taken in as an infant to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) for
corrective surgery. His mother, my sister and all of us as you can imagine were
very worried about the prospect of her little boy being operated on at such a
young age. Not Only did the team take incredible care of Austin, but we
were also very impressed with how they took care of the entire family. No
question or concern went unanswered and no fear was too small to be addressed.
Needless to say the operation was a complete success and as a young man today
Austin has full use of his feet today. I decided that day 16 years ago that I
would put my financial support into the SickKids and all the wonderful work
they do in changing and improving young lives every day. I am proud to hang the
“Miracle Home” sign rider on my For Sale signs and answer when asked “What does
that mean? “ It gives me another chance to share the story of my belief
in the wonderful work SickKids does !

On a personal level, my daughter spent a few days in
the Alberta Children's Hospital recovering from a severe asthma attack a
few years back. The experience during that time confirmed to me without
reservation that the decision to support Children's Miracle Network through the
RE/MAX Miracle Home program was the right one! I am forever grateful to my many
clients and friends who are the real reason why, while recovering at the
hospital those few years back, my daughter was able to have me walk her down to
the hallway where the donor wall is so she could see "Dad's" name on
it!
