CELEBRATING 2023 HIGHLIGHTS AND CMN HOSPITAL’S 40TH ANNIVERSARY
It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through 2023! As our team reflects on the first part of this year, we take immense pride in being a member of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and celebrate the amazing work our partners have done in support of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children.
This year, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is celebrating its 40th anniversary. From its small humble beginnings as a telethon 1983 to the vast network of 170 non-profit children’s hospitals and corporate partners it is today, the organization remains committed to its core value that one hundred percent of the funds stay local to benefit local hospitals and kids. The power of the network has only continued to grow stronger thanks to the support of partners that have remained steadfast in their dedication to change lives and have raised crucial funds that have transformed children’s healthcare. Since the organization began, more than 8 billion dollars has been raised for member children’s hospitals across the U.S and Canada, mostly one dollar at a time!
What’s equally exciting is that more than $60 million has been raised by partners and programs across Central Florida since Orlando Health Arnold Palmer became a member of CMN Hospitals, helping us continue to advance and enhance the high-level, compassionate care we provide to patients and their families. From funding vital life-saving equipment and critical expansion efforts; to supporting programs including trauma services, oncology, neonatology, child life and more, our extraordinary partners and community have had a profound impact on our hospital and the care we provide. We extend our deepest gratitude for their dedication and all they do to continue to make a difference for our patients.
This year has been amazing! Our team and incredible CMN Champion JP have been busy visiting and thanking all of our partners for the many remarkable things they have done to support our hospital. He has celebrated corporate campaigns hosted by 7-Eleven, Ace, Costco, Dairy Queen, IHOP, Love’s, Publix, Walmart & Sam’s Club, Wawa and more; golf tournaments hosted by Marriott Vacations Worldwide, Marriott and 7-Eleven, as well as 16 Dance Marathons…wow! And that’s just the first part of the year! Stay tuned for more highlights of JP’s Champion journey.
Our team also joined representatives from member hospitals and network partners across the country during Children’s Hospitals Week. Together, we celebrated 40 years of miracles and learned how we can continue to have a positive impact on the future of children’s healthcare. It was an unforgettable week, where we got meet the 2023 CMN Hospitals national champions and hear their inspirational stories and how their local member hospital saved their lives. Together we celebrated, connected, and shared in the passion that we all have to change kids’ health and change the future!
We’ve done a lot of celebrating so far this year and look forward to all the miracles we’ll continue to celebrate alongside our partners in this next half of the year!
