Celebrities Helping CMN Hospitals
Celebrities may get a lot of flack in the media, and some deservedly so. But for every celebrity embroiled in a scandal, there are just as many others interested in creating awareness and raising dollars for charities like ours. We are grateful for their support, and wanted to highlight some recent activites.
December saw a few noteworthy hospital visits from some notable figures: Bravo TV reality star Bethenny Frankel spent the day visiting kids while crafting at Children's Specialized Hospital on December 13. Two days later, CMN Hospitals co-founder Marie Osmond stopped by Chicago's Children's Memorial Hospital to meet patients, their families and lead in a storytime session. And on December 29, child actor Mason Cook hung out with kids spending the holidays at KU Children's Center and brought copies of his DVD, Spy Kids 4. Here are a few photos from all these visits:
January saw many celebs out in support of CMN Hospitals, starting with Connor Cruise's 17th birthday bash in L.A. on January 18. Connor's sister Isabella joined him for an evening of Just Dance 3 in support of CMN Hospitals, resulting in some awesome media coverage for our cause! Check out a recap of the event in the Feb. 6 issue of People magazine! To see some of Connor's moves, click here.
Supporting celebs weren't in short supply at The Sundance Film Festival, which kicked off in Salt Lake City the weekend of January 20. Actors Danny Glover, Dennis Haysbert, Ty Burrell, Zoe Levy, Ryan Kwante and Sarah Ramos, as well as recording artists Toni Braxton and Estelle, were just a few supporting CMN Hospitals' life-saving work over the weekend. Miracle Child Gabe, who was treated at Utah's Primary Children's Medical Center, was also able to attend and put a face to our cause — which you'll note in the albums below (look for the Giants cap!).
