Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ president gets flocked!

betterjohnflockingChildren’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ President and CEO John Lauck got flocked last week.

Taking place in the Salt Lake headquarters, his office was secretly filled with feather boas and pink flamingos of every variety.

The flocking was a part of Love’s Travel Stops’ annual fundraiser for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals—which wrapped up Sept. 30 and raised $2.53 million in total for 99 children’s hospitals across the country.

johnflamingoAside from the 390 Love’s stores that sold Miracle Balloons and held barbecues and other fundraising events during the campaign, Love’s corporate headquarters in Oklahoma City, OK got in on the action this year too. One of their most popular fundraisers during the two-week headquarters campaign was the flocking of offices and cubicles. Those who were flocked could then make a donation to have the materials removed. In total, the headquarters’ campaign raised over $16,000 between 20 departments and team members—including their top executives—had a great time.

CMN Hospital’s board member Jenny Love Meyer didn’t want CMN Hospitals to miss out on the fun either so they sent John a flocking as part of their “fun”draiser.
