Country Star Chris Lane Gives Miracle Kid “Best Night of [Her] Life”

Ellie has truly beaten the odds. This spunky 15-year-old hasn’t let her diagnosis of spina bifida get in the way of her dreams.

And she just had the best night of her life.

She was surprised and brought on stage during country star Chris Lane’s concert while he sang his song For Her right to Ellie.

Chris Lane is a generous supporter of CMN Hospitals and donated tickets and meet & greet passes to Ellie and her family for his concert in Chicago. Ellie was ecstatic to meet one of her favorite country artists and even made him a video before hand. “I can’t be your take home girl, but I can absolutely be your Chicago pal.”

So inspired by this bright teenager, Chris surprised her and brought her onstage for all of his fans to meet.

Ellie’s smile could have lit up the entire concert venue.

Despite her diagnosis, Ellie embraces her challenges head on. Even through hours of medical procedures, surgeries, injections, and physical therapy, she brings her positive attitude everywhere she goes.

She just participated in her first mini triathlon, is a competitive Paralympic swimmer, and in her spare time, she fundraises for kids like her treated at Lurie Children’s Hospital and CMN Hospitals.
