Doctor Donates $10,000 to Patient’s Miracle Challenge Fundraiser

Miracle Challenge is a 27-day wellness challenge that encourages participants to achieve fitness goals, while fundraising for kids in their Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. Ambassadors of all types help participants stay on track each day. When Mason — our child ambassador for cycling — visited his doctor, Dr. Manish Saran surprised him with an incredible gift: a $10,000 donation towards Mason's Miracle Challenge goal.

"At a recent appointment Dr. Saran and Mason were discussing the appearances and events Mason has been doing with CMN and Miracle Challenge. During their discussion, Mason told Dr. Saran 'I am raising money for Miracle Challenge. Do you want to donate to me?' Dr. Saran responded 'Yes, I will donate $10,000 to you!' I was shocked and immediately started crying. Dr. Saran said he wanted to support Mason because he was such an incredible kid! I explained to Dr. Saran about Miracle Challenge sponsorships, etc. and he said he was not doing it for the publicity, but just to support Mason. Needless to say, I thanked Dr. Saran a million times and told him what a blessing having this donation was." — Heather Bonnette, Mason's mom
