RUNNING 4 MIRACLES-INDIANAPOLIS

Celebrating Carlie's Resilient Survival

YOUR GENEROUS SUPPORT IS NEEDED AND APPRECIATED!

On November 5, I will run the CNO Financial Indianapolis Monumental Marathon in honor of 3-year-old Carlie, born weighing 1 pound, 4 ounces.  Not only was she battling all of the challenges of a micro-preemie, but Carlie was also diagnosed with a critical heart defect.  Her mom didn’t want to give up on her daughter.  With the help of social media, she grabbed the attention of Riley Pediatric Cardiologist Anne Farrell, M.D.  In the span of a few days, baby Carlie arrived at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health with a strategy in place to save her life.  Carlie underwent surgery to repair a narrowed aorta.  Surgery was a success, and today Carlie’s energy and joy belie the shaky way she came into the world.

Please consider donating to celebrate and show your support for Miracles like Carlie.

Indianapolis is Leg #3 of the Conway Family's Miracle Mission of running 50 marathons honoring 50 preemies in 50 states.

Leg #2-Dayton, OH, we celebrated Mason's Resilient Survival and raised $1,575

Leg #1-Pittsburgh, PA, we celebrated Hunter's Resilient Survival and raised $2,758.

As a family, we have dedicated our fundraising efforts to pay it forward for the support we received from the Children’s Miracle Network when our son Brooks, who is now 17 years old, healthy and thriving, was born at 25 weeks, weighing just 1 lb 6 oz.  He spent four months in the neonatal intensive care unit at the Penn State Health Children’s Hospital.  He represents why we believe miracles do happen.  Please click HERE to see photos of Brooks.
