Honoring a Legacy: Children’s Hospitals Supporter and Golf Legend Arnold Palmer Dies at 87
When golf legend Arnold Palmer first visited the Orlando children’s hospital for the first time, he said the famous words “We can do better, and we should do better for the children in this community.”
Today, his legacy lives on in that hospital, named in his honor — Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, leader in children’s health care with one of the world’s best neonatal intensive care units. Palmer recognized that donations are vital to children’s hospitals and diligently advocated for support for all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.
His words continue to inspire our network and the more than 10 million kids treated at member hospitals each year: “The most rewarding things you do in life are often the ones that look like they cannot be done.”
