Thank You Celebrities Who Supported Giving Tuesday

We would like to thank all the celebrities who joined Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in sharing the real, the tough, and the authentic moments in their lives, in honor of kids treated at children’s hospitals. These kids have good days and bad days, and it’s donations that ensure they have more of the good.

Celebrities who showed support include Adam DeVine, Alli Simpson, Faithe Herman, Hunter Hayes, Jason George, Josh Gad, Kimberly Hébert, Mackenzie Hancsicsak, Marie Osmond, Micah Fowler, Miss America Cara Mund, Nick Cannon and Zendaya.

Check out their stories below.

Adam DeVine

As a lot of you may know (because I won’t SHUT UP about it) I was hit by a cement truck as a kid. I couldn’t walk for two years and had to completely relearn how to walk. That is why I am so supportive of @cmnhospitals. They help kids who are dealing with terminal illness and life altering injures. Today we are sharing our #GoodDayBadDay story. When I was in the hospital I was in constant pain the nurses would always come in and have to adjust my legs, which were fully skin grafted, and in traction. The pain was next level. A cool nurse gave me this squirt gun and said if anyone was picking on me to hose them! It helped me forget about the pain if only for a little. Please help a kid in need forget about the pain by giving to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. Join me in creating miracles for 10 million kids treated at local children’s hospitals every year by donating at cmnh.co/goodday and share your authentic story with #GoodDayBadDay #mlbpillowcase #didntmeantocutoutauntcindy

If you look closely, I mean like deeply, you can see a smile breaking through. I have been in the hospital more times than I care to enumerate. I’ve had a condition since I was 19 years old, so when I say I have seen my share of bright lights and gurneys, believe me when I say this. The fear never goes away. The strength never fades. My family stands on guard ferociously and patiently every time, and my doctors are trusted and steadfast. There are many families whose stories are similar. Parents who know what it’s like to entrust the care of their most precious thing to medicine and watch her/him roll away down grey corridors. @cmnhospitals asked for me to share my story that was without the artifice of this social/media on this #givingtuesday. They wanted a true day as an encouragement. #GoodDayBadDay I hope it is just that. Please donate to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals

Everyone has good days and bad days. That’s just part of life. But some kids face enormous challenges battling chronic illnesses and painful injuries and they need our support. The doctors and nurses at local children’s hospitals help make bad days easier for their patients. I have been blessed to have met some amazing miracle kids at @cmnhospitals events over the past year. Twitch and Allison’s dance party was my first charity event and it was awesome. I got to meet and spend time with some amazing kids and their families. And the Imagine Tea party last June was amazing, too. My first time drinking tea. So much fun. Today is giving Tuesday which is a day when the world comes together to give back. Any donation will be greatly appreciated by the millions of children who are treated at Children’s Hospitals annually. Give what you can at http://cmnh.co/goodday And bless you and your families this holiday season. #givingtuesday #cmnh
