Honoring and Remembering John Lauck by Kelly Pearson

He was a visionary. He was passionate about pediatric healthcare, and he was determined to not only change kids’ health but change the future.

The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ family is mourning the loss of John Lauck, president and CEO. John joined Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in 2011. I joined the Bangor team in 2013, and John was one of the very first people to introduce himself to me at a regional conference in Baltimore. I immediately knew that I was joining a network of hospitals – a family – that was being led by a person who believed in his work. He believed in his team, he believed in our corporate partners, he believed in our hospitals, and most important, he believed if we could better children’s healthcare, we’d be bettering the future.

John was an incredible storyteller, and he loved nothing more than sharing the incredible stories of children who’ve benefitted from funds raised locally and of the folks who helped make to make miracles happen. John will be missed, but together, and with your support, we’ll continue his legacy to make sure that every child has access to high quality healthcare, close to home.
