Publix

Publix employees and customers recently wrapped up their 28th annual Miracle Balloon campaign supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. While the final amount raised will be announced soon, this campaign has already renewed Publix’s membership in the Miracle Million Club.

From June 19 – 30, Publix miracle makers sold CMN Hospitals’ Miracle Balloon coupons at the register to generous customers. The coupons cost $1, $3 and $5 and offered values of $5.50, $10 and $20 respectively on a variety of products with all donations going to a local CMN Hospital.

Over 1,200 Publix stores participated in the fundraiser benefiting 27 member hospitals. Funds raised during the campaign effort will help hospitals in communities where Publix operates procure life-saving equipment and provide research, education and outreach programs.

Dairy Queen

The special relationship the DQ® system has with CMN Hospitals stretches back to 1984, when the DQ system, including more than 5,000 independently owned and operated locations in North America became only the second corporate partner of the children’s hospital group. The 170 hospitals who are part of the CMN Hospitals network in the U.S. and Canada treat over 10 million sick or injured children each year.

The DQ system’s partnership with CMN Hospitals is a year-round commitment the system has made to help provide healing and happiness to sick or injured kids across North America. The DQ system believes in giving back and recognizes the importance of infusing happiness into the healing process at local children’s hospitals. DQ franchisees are prideful about creating happy moments for their Fans in their restaurants every day but equally relish the opportunity to bring happy to local CMN Hospitals as well. Each dollar DQ franchisees and fans raise through events such as Miracle Treat Day and Free Cone Day (in the U.S.), along with in-store fundraising activities such as Donation Boxes, Miracle Balloons and Round Up for the Kids, help to fund projects that make a child’s hospital stay a little less scary and ultimately, make effective care easier to administer. These funds—nearly $150 million since 1984—also allow local CMN Hospitals to use the money where it is most needed. The DQ system’s partnership with CMN Hospitals exemplifies the commitment DQ franchisees make to their communities every day, and a promise to provide the support local hospitals need for years to come.

The Brick

In their fifth year as a Children’s Miracle Network partner, The Brick is helping to improve the lives of Canadians by changing the health of children across Canada, Brick by Brick. In 2019, The Brick has already raised over $1 million for children’s hospitals across Canada, with various fundraising continuing for the rest of the year. New this year, The Brick launched its Charity Day initiative, a signature day to highlight their commitment to the community. On July 6, The Brick donated 2.5% of their net proceeds from sales to Children’s Miracle Network. The day was successful, with the Brick surpassing their goal and raising over $279,000.
