Booster Makes Big Impact at Annual Conference “Booster U”
Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and Booster have teamed up for the past two years to explore innovative ways to fundraise together. At Booster University, Booster’s annual conference, Booster graciously presented Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals with a $100,000 donation that will fund the creation of new fundraising opportunities and fuel the mission.
The audience at Booster University received a special boost of inspiration through the telling of a personal miracle story from nine-year-old Zoe Tipping along with her entire family from the stage. Zoe fought cancer and won at an extremely young age and now she and her sister participate in Booster’s premiere event, Boosterthon. They are able to participate because of the amazing care they received from Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands in Columbia, South Carolina.
Emily Greenwell, Program Experience Specialist with Booster shared “”We are entering our second year of partnering with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and it’s been amazing. It’s really exciting for us to partner with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals because the students at our schools could also be kids treated at their local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital. We love that our partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals is another way we can care for the communities that our students are a part of. Let’s “Change the World” for the kids!”
The Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals’ Innovation team and Booster’s Program Experience team shared the mission and direction of this partnership going forward, highlighting the test they ran this past spring of the new program, Miracle Field Day. This event raised over $20,000 in critical funds for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Upstate in Greenville, South Carolina. Booster and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will hold this event next year and expand the test to impact other hospitals nationwide.
After hearing the stories and ways their company has given back, the attendees were able to put together overnight care kits for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. These overnight care kits have things that parents don’t think to grab when they are in a rush. These kits are small but the impact is huge to the families of the patients that receive these.
Booster and Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals are excited about the future of their partnership and the potential they have together to shape the future of children’s healthcare and the future of the kids that they serve.
