Panda Express leaders raise $200,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital

Approximately 1800 Panda Restaurant Group leaders gathered in San Diego last week to celebrate their successes, discuss company goals and raise funds for Rady Children’s Hospital.

The theme of the conference was Inspiring Better Lives and all Team Panda attendees were encouraged to always strive for better in themselves and the world around them. Touching messages from leaders within the company were accompanied by inspirational videos documenting the history of the company’s founders, Andrew and Peggy Cherng, and the efforts that all employees have made to help underserved children through donations to 127 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

Over the course of three and a half days, Panda Cares sold logo merchandise, raffle tickets, cheesecakes and other items to raise money for the host city’s local children’s hospital. Panda Associates and vendors contributed just under $160,000 for Rady Children’s Hospital in San Diego. Panda co-CEOs and founders Andrew and Peggy Cherng bumped up the contributions to an even $200,000, which was presented to Rady Children’s during the final session of the conference.
