ALEX AND ANI celebrates the inaugural Partnership Summit at Belcourt of Newport

On a perfect New England fall day, over 30 of the charitable partners of ALEX AND ANI gathered in the halls of the Belcourt of Newport to celebrate the almost $50 million ALEX AND ANI has donated since the first Charity By Design bangle launched in 2011 and to strategize on the future of ALEX AND ANI and the Charity By Design brand. As a beneficiary of the Unicorn bangle, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals staff members Kieriay Moyer and Staci Cross were in attendance to hear from ALEX AND ANI executives, including Founder Carolyn Rafaelian and President Cindy DiPietrantonio.

The summit began with a panel of other Charity By Design partners sharing best practices and innovative ways that they are raising funds for their respective organizations. Discussions filled the room as peers shared ideas and brainstormed on how all of the charities are helping to make the world a better place. Next, charity partners split into smaller break out sessions to brainstorm and share ideas. Favorite ideas included collaboration efforts, celebrity engagements and sharing impact via social media. The afternoon kicked off with a panel of ALEX AND ANI executives answering questions – from general organization overviews to sharing personal stories of why these charitable partnerships are so important to the culture of ALEX AND ANI. The evening ended with a tour of Carolyn’s historic home, the Belcourt of Newport, and mingling with attendees.
