@REMAX #MonthofMiracles: Motorcycle for Miracles.

Throughout August, we're celebrating RE/MAX Miracle Agents across North America who do year-round fundraising for local CMN Hospitals during the 5th annual Month of Miracles. Visit remax.com to find a Miracle Home or Miracle Agent in your community.

Bruce Johnson, a RE/MAX Miracle Agent, and his daughter Holly are at it again with Motorcycle for Miracles, raising funds for and visiting the 14 Children’s Miracle Network member hospitals across Canada. The father-daughter duo coincides with the RE/MAX Month of Miracles.

On Aug. 1 the Johnsons began their 31-day journey over more than 9,400 kilometers from St John’s, Newfoundland, to Vancouver, British Columbia to raise funds for children’s hospitals. They are greeted by local RE/MAX agents who celebrate their arrival at each of the 14 member hospitals.

A RE/MAX agent from Wasaga Beach, Johnson has been riding for Children’s Miracle Network since 2013. When he and his wife lost their newborn daughter Alyssa in 1998, they chose to channel the painful experience into one of hope for other families by raising awareness and necessary funds. What started as a goal to raise $25,000 for the SickKids Foundation and the Children’s Miracle Network has turned into more than $100,000 raised in honor of their daughter.

"It means so much to me and my family to be able to honour our daughter and sister Alyssa's memory in this way," said Johnson.  "Being able to combine my passion for motorcycle travel, my wonderful relationships with my RE/MAX family, my unwavering commitment to being an ambassador for the Children's Miracle Network, PLUS being able to make these special memories with my daughter, well for me it really is the Month of Miracles."
