Scan the Skies and #SpotTheWonder

#SpotTheWonder

The iconic, colorful Wonder® balloon takes flight at the 35th Annual New Jersey Festival of Ballooning to benefit Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.

For every photo of the Wonder Balloon taken and shared during the event using the hashtag #SpotTheWonder, Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals will receive a donation from Wonder Bread. Help Wonder reach a goal of 1000 shares for a contribution of $5,000 which will be used to support Children’s Specialized Hospital in Mountainside, New Jersey, the local member CMN Hospital in the garden state.

Wonder Bread first “took flight” in 1921, after Elmer Cline, an executive with Taggart Baking Company, was “filled with wonder” by the sight of hundreds of hot air balloons creating a kaleidoscope of color at the International Balloon Race at the Indianapolis Speedway. Wonder’s veteran balloon pilot, Chris Sabia, flies the red, yellow and blue Wonder Balloon often accompanied by his co-pilot and wife Amanda. Sabia’s passion has taken him all over the country, but one thing remains the same in every city. “I love seeing the look of awe in the faces of the spectators in the crowd when they watch the balloon take flight. The fact that we also get to give back to the community by supporting Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals just makes it even better.”

John Lauck, president and CEO of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, agrees, “Through our partnership with Wonder, we can literally watch Miracles take flight. Every individual that can #SpotTheWonder unlocks Miracles in the form of donations that provide critical treatments and healthcare services for local kids.”

Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide 32 million treatments each year to kids across the U.S. and Canada. Donations from #SpotTheWonder stay local to benefit kids at Children’s Specialized Hospital in New Jersey. Fund raised from #SpotTheWonder will provide critical treatment and healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care.
