Walgreens Collects Toys for Kids at UNM Children’s Hospital

Walgreens is making miracles again for kids at UNM Children’s Hospital!  Currently, all Walgreens stores in the ABQ-Santa Fe area are collecting toys for New Mexico’s tiniest patients through December 13th.  Toys can be dropped off at labeled boxes inside stores, or purchased in-store.  The most-needed items this weekend are gift cards, teen items and baby toys.

Walgreens’ has been a pivotal member of UNM Children’s Hospital’s annual toy drive for over 10 years.  This year alone, they will provide toys for over 42 UNM Hospitals units to give out to patients and their siblings.  Walgreens has also gone above-and-beyond for New Mexico’s only children’s hospital this year, raising over $41,000 in register donations in June 2021.

On December 8th, District Manager Matt Murrillo, Store Manager Krysta Martinez, and UNM Hospitals Associate Chief Nursing Officer Maribeth Thornton visited KRQE 13’s New Mexico Living morning show to share more about the collection and its impact on UNM Children’s Hospital.
